| Advertisers push out the boundaries of decency with controversial
campaigns such as FCUK, Wonderbra, Benetton and Haagen-Dazs. The message
is clear that sex sells! There is heightened awareness of AIDS, anti-fur
campaigns and environmental causes. In the quest to make us healthier,
supermarkets offer the consumer vast choices of non-fat, lower salt,
organic and free range products. Our adverts show that global brands
such as Nike, Gap, Levis, and Coke continue to flourish on both sides
of the Atlantic. Supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell,
Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford create impossible role models for the
average woman. |
